Tired of sticky chips during a poker game at your local card club? Or muck, dirt and stains clearly visible on the chips at the casino?
Well, I was. Especially at my own poker club. So back in 2021 I started looking for a machine which did the cleaning job more efficient than a bucket of water, some soap, a brush and manual labour. It turned out that there are some machines available but they are not very efficient. It is likely quicker to make good use of the bucket-and-water alternative...
I thought there might be a better way! So, I made my first manually operated machine in my garage. With old left-over wood from housebuilding, PVC tubes, some duct tape and a generous helping of willpower, this contraption holds the unofficial world record of chip cleaning & drying!
Right now, this Proof of Concept is being refined and automated, local chemistry industry has made a cleaning solvent which is unharmful to any chip.
This Second Prototype has a run-rate of 40000 chips per hour, cleaning and drying, automatically. I expect to present a product for the gambling industry by October 2024.

How does it work?
Loading:
Simply load your less clean chips into the machine's hopper. The machine is designed to accommodate various chip sizes and materials, ensuring compatibility with your existing inventory.
Washing:
Once loaded, the machine starts and the chips undergo a soft and harmless cleaning process. The Chip Cleaner employs a combination of tap water and specialized Ph-neutral cleaning solutions to remove dirt, grime, and biological material from the surface of each chip.
Drying:
After washing, the chips are swiftly dried. This ensures rapid drying without compromising the integrity of the chips, allowing for quick turnaround times and minimal downtime.

Throughout the entire process, our machine maintains strict quality control measures to ensure that every chip emerges clean, unscathed, and ready to use.
